Our Virtual Chai Masterclass is a live, 30-minute team-building experience where your team learns to brew authentic Indian Masala Chai together over video call — no kit shipping, no cooking skills required, just a saucepan and a video call link.
I'm JD, and I've hosted this exact class for teams at Google, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla — companies looking for a short, high-energy way to reconnect that isn't another generic icebreaker game. I grew up on this recipe; it's my family's third-generation chai, the same one I make for guests in my own home in Delhi, and I bring the same energy to a Zoom call as I do to a table of 14,000+ guests we've hosted since 2015.
Why Teams Choose This for Team Building
Recommended by BuzzFeed and Tasty, this is the only Indian virtual experience with a 100% 5-star rating from Fortune 500 teams. It's built to slot into a lunch-and-learn, an all-hands icebreaker, or a standalone offsite — 30 minutes is long enough to genuinely connect, short enough that nobody's calendar objects.
What Your Team Will Learn
The real history of chai in India, the spices behind Masala chai and what each one does, and the technique to brew a proper cup — vegan-friendly with oat or almond milk, beginner-friendly for everyone.
Built for Distributed & US-Based Teams
Since I'm hosting from Delhi (roughly 9.5–13.5 hours ahead of US time zones depending on daylight saving), most US teams book this for their morning — which lands as my evening, a comfortable time on both ends. I'll work with your scheduler to find a slot that suits your team across time zones.
Meet Your Host — JD
11+ years hosting guests from 40+ countries, published cookbook author, and the guide behind Explore Real India's Fortune 500 corporate roster. This isn't a scripted class — it's a conversation with someone who's spent his career sharing India's food culture with the world.
Additionally, complete the preparation work outlined below beforehand.

The listed price is ₹2,499 (INR) per person, which is roughly $25 USD at current exchange rates (an estimate — you'll be charged in INR, and the exact amount depends on the day's rate). For groups over a certain size, contact us for a custom team-building quote.
Yes — many companies pair this 30-minute Chai Masterclass with our 1-hour Virtual Team Building Cooking Class (Chicken Tikka Masala & Jeera Rice) for a longer offsite or all-hands event. Ask us about bundling both.
