A 1.5-Hour Walk Through India's First Street Art District
Discover Lodhi Art District, India's first government-sanctioned open-air street art project — entire building facades in a quiet Delhi Colony neighborhood turned into large-scale murals by Indian and international artists. What Is the Lodhi Art District Street Art Walk?
This 1.5-hour walking tour takes you through Lodhi Art District in Lodhi Colony, one of Delhi's most unique and least touristy neighborhoods. I'll walk you through the murals, tell you the stories behind the art, and explain how this became India's first public street art colony.
What Will You See on This Walk?
You'll see large-scale murals by artists including JuMu, Suso33, Svabhu Kohli, Ram Sangchoju, Ishaan Bharat, and Tarini Sethi — real, working street artists, not decorative reproductions. I'll share the story behind specific pieces and how this project came together.
What's Included at the Chai Stop?
Partway through the walk, we stop for a cup of hot, homemade masala chai and snacks — the same chai I make at home, not a café version. Vegetarian and vegan options are available if you let your guide know in advance.
Who Is This Tour For?
This walk is built for art lovers, photographers, and anyone who wants to see a side of Delhi that isn't Old Delhi's chaos or the Taj Mahal crowds. It works well for solo travelers, couples, and small groups, at an easy walking pace.

On this 2.5-hour walk, I'll take you through the district, tell you the stories behind specific murals JuMu, Suso33, Svabhu Kohli, Ram Sangchoju, Ishaan Bharat & Tarini Sethi and explain how this became India's first street art colony.
No — they're two different, adjacent stops on the same tour. Lodhi Art District is the modern mural project inside Lodhi Colony. Lodhi Gardens is a 90-acre historic park a short walk away, home to 15th- and 16th-century tombs built by the Sayyid and Lodi dynasties. This tour includes both, so you get contemporary art and centuries-old Delhi history in one afternoon.
